NZCA Nelson Mandarin Classes for 2016 - Term 4

We currently have Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced level classes

 

Beginners (Basic) Mandarin:

This is a fun filled class for children 3 years and older, to get familiar with sounds, learn greetings, rhythms, stories and simple conversations.  Basic Pinyin (the pronunciation aids/rules) is also introduced.

Time and Day: 3.30-4.15pm on Mondays (first class starts on the 17th October 2016)

Venue: Activity room at the Elma Turner Library, Nelson (27 Halifax Street)

Cost: $60.00 per child (per term), $30.00 for the second/third child from the same family

 

Intermediate Mandarin:

This class is for children 6 years and older, starting with full Pinyin (pronunciation aid/rules).  More complicated sentences are introduced and simple Chinese characters will be taught.  Basic writing is included, as well as an introduction to poems and culture.

Time and Day: 4.30-5.30pm on Mondays (first class starts on the 17th October 2016)

Venue: Activity room at the Elma Turner Library, Nelson (27 Halifax Street)

Cost: $60.00 per child (per term), $30.00 for the second/third child from the same family

 

Advanced Mandarin:

Designed for children 8 years and older with moderate level of Chinese, who need to learn more characters for reading and writing, who are interested in culture and the history of China.

Time and Day: 3.30-4:30pm on Wednesdays or Sundays (first class starts on the 19th October 2016)

Venue: Nelson Central School - Music Room (70 Nile Street, Nelson)

Cost: $60.00 per child (per term), $30.00 for the second/third child from the same family
